No Yoga Kit? No Problem!

You don’t need any fancy yoga kit to be able to practise at home. All you need is some imagination. So look around you and get creative!

If you don’t have a mat, you could use a bath towel (if you have carpet). If you have a hardwood floor, try using a non slip rug instead.

Instead of bricks, how about using tins, books or food storage containers? Or maybe roll up a couple of smaller bath towels or use cushions?

Cushions, towels, blankets or a large hardback book will do the job of a yoga block just as well.

Make your own bolster by rolling up a couple of blankets or towels or try using pillows instead.

For an eye pillow, you could try using a (clean) sock or face cloth or perhaps a scarf.

And for your yoga belt, just take the belt from your dressing gown or your jeans.

Use a chair, table or the wall too.

Experiment with whatever you’ve got and enjoy finding new ways to move and rest your body.
