It all started when...

I first stepped onto a yoga mat in the early 1990s and instantly loved the way the yoga class made me feel.   But I didn’t begin a regular yoga practice at that stage, believing I was ‘far too busy’ with work and life to add anything else to my ‘to do’ list.

It was not until I was in my forties that I began to take yoga more seriously.  Having worked for many years as a lawyer specialising in criminal law, I turned to yoga as a means of helping me to meet the physical, mental and emotional challenges of my career.

Within a couple of years, yoga took up all of my spare time.  I undertook a foundation course over 9 months with Camyoga (www.camyoga.co.uk).  I then went on to complete a 6 month, 30 hours 'Yoga Unveiled' course with Andrea Kwiatkowski (www.santoshayoga.co.uk) before obtaining my 200 hour yoga teaching diploma from Camyoga.

I have been fortunate enough to complete 60 hours of Restorative Yoga teacher training and a mentorship programme with Judith Hanson Lasater  (www.judithhansonlasater.com) and am proud to have been certified by her as a Relax and Renew ® Level 2 Teacher (www.restorativeyogateachers.com) in Restorative yoga.

I have completed over 80 hours of Yin yoga training with Norman Blair (www.yogawithnorman.co.uk), and continue to study and practise with Norman whenever possible.

I have also completed a 50 hour training in Yoga Nidra with Dawn Wright (www.yogabusinessmentor.com) and am continuing my Yoga Nidra studies with Uma Dinsmore Tuli (www.yoganidranetwork.org).

Qigong has been an important part of my practice for several years now. I have undertaken a number of trainings with my principal qigong teacher and mentor, Mimi Kuo Deemer (www.mkdeemer.com) and continue to study and enjoy a continuing mentorship programme with her.
